Flexibility in recruitment

What if I am unsure or unsupportive of CPAS' theological convictions?

CPAS expects all Overall Leaders, senior leaders and those in teaching and pastoral roles to either subscribe to or publicly support CPAS' framework. 'Publicly support' means that there is room for private uncertainty, doubt or even disagreement with one or two areas of theological conviction, so long as these do not impact their contribution to the holiday.

There may be room for those who publicly yet respectfully disagree with aspects of CPAS' theological convictions to take on non-teaching and non-pastoral roles.

In these cases, please contact the Overall Leader of the holiday or the Ventures and Falcons Office for a conversation. All enquiries will be treated with the utmost respect, honour and, as far as possible, confidentiality.

What if I have a criminal record?

A criminal record will not necessarily prohibit the appointment of an individual as a volunteer. However, CPAS will not accept anyone who is known to have harmed children or who is listed as barred from such work by DBS. You may be asked to provide additional information and CPAS may construct a risk assessment to help inform a decision. Please contact your Overall Leader or the Ventures and Falcons Office if unsure about starting an application.
