Canal Cruise 2017 will be out of this world! We're exploring deep space, hunting for signs of extra-terrestrial communication to see if anyone's out there. We'll have two daily briefings from Mission Control. Everyone has a part to play in our voyage, earning points for helping crew the boats. There are crafts and games for those who like to be busy, or you can relax and watch the world go by.

About The Leaders:

The leaders on Canal Cruise come from all over the country. They have different skills and talents, and all sorts of levels of boating experience, but one thing is the same about all of them: they love Jesus, and want to help you know him better too! They can't wait to show you all about the boats, and help you explore a communication technology that is better than on any space ship.

Accommodation Type:

Our space craft look remarkably like narrowboats, and have all the essentials for our journey, including gravity! They have hot showers, (almost) normal toilets, and room in each cosy cabin for you and up to three friends. Everyone can spend time together in the saloon enjoying the culinary delights prepared in the galley, playing games, or studying the Bible. Out on deck you can soak up some sunshine (British summertime permitting) and enjoy the view.

About Site and Area:

This year we're exploring the southern reaches of the Grand Union Canal, heading toward Stoke Bruerne. There is the usual quota of locks to navigate, as well as two long wormholes to pass through. All good astronauts know they must be prepared for anything their mission throws at them - in this case, it's most likely to be the weather, so make sure you have your sun cream and your waterproof coat at the ready!
