Three days in beautiful countryside to have loads of fun, make new friends and learn what it means to follow Jesus. There will be crafts, games, lots of time outside, both on-site and in the immediate area; time to think and reflect on who Jesus is. You will be made very welcome whether you come on your own or with friends. A great introduction to the Venture holidays.

    About The Leaders:

Mark and Jo Anderson live in Newcastle upon Tyne where Mark is a paediatrician. They have three children; Ben, 15, Georgina, 13 and Florence, 4.
Jonny Parker lives in Barnsley with his wife, Ruth. They work for St Andrew's Church, Kendray.
Luke Parker lives in Newcastle upon Tyne with his wife, Fiona. He works for Christ Church Newcastle.

    Accommodation Type:

We sleep in log cabins - usually 5 or 6 children per cabin with 2 leaders. There are 2 bedrooms, a lounge and kitchen area and a bathroom.

    Activities and Programme:

It's full on from the off – daily meetings all together with plenty of entertainment, singing and a short talk. Craft sessions with a wide variety of activities for all personalities: rocket building (and launching!), giant bubble challenges, glass painting, cake decorating (and eating!) have all featured in the past. Afternoons are spent more energetically – either by the river paddling and playing games or on site completing challenges, not forgetting the awesome slip'n'slide. Cosy evenings to chill out in front of a film with hot chocolate.

    About Site and Area:

We stay at the Jonas Centre - a beautiful, rural site with fields, animals, log cabins, and a fantastic view! Much of the time is spent outside, but we have a large marquee for eating in and a converted barn for main meetings.
