The Location :
After many happy years at Blaithwaite, we feel now is the right time for us to move to a new site. We've found an incredible new venue, which will suite our needs much better in the coming years. It's called Castle Head, near Grange-over-Sand in South Cumbria. We'll have exclusive use of their buildings and grounds, which are designed for groups like us. We'll be doing amazing outdoor activities as normal, but now in the southern part of the Lake District. Members will sleep in dorms of between 4 and 10 people, and there's loads of great indoor spaces for you to use in free time, plus a fab dining hall and a chapel space for our main meetings. Come and see just how great Castle Head is by joining us in 2022! You can also visit If you are coming by train, we can pick you up from Oxenholme Station (near Kendal), but if transport is tricky, please get in touch and we'll try to put you in touch with others coming from your area.
The Activities and The Programme:
Choose either a full week of outdoor adventure (from canoeing to ghyll scrambling, stand-up paddle boarding to climbing, mountain walking and much more), or a mix of outdoor activities and fun music workshops (forming bands, songwriting, making videos, doing creative musically-themed challenges and games and much more)! Add wide games, worship, team time discussions, evening entertainments, a campfire, hot chocolate, cake, hilarity, and you’re starting to get an idea of what our camp is all about!
The Team:
We’ve got an amazing team of friendly leaders who are both wacky and wise. We’re from all over the country and have a range of church backgrounds. We love getting to know our wonderful members, chatting about faith and life, and having lots of fun at the same time. Our cooks produce some of the best food you’ve ever tasted - come along and see for yourself!
