Brymore 1 invites you to ‘come as you are’… but challenges you not to leave as you came. The week is an exciting mix of outings, challenges, workshops, games, discussions, and amazing food. The atmosphere is relaxed and allows you to develop friendships, experience new things and make memories while learning more about an unconditional love that transcends history. Brymore 1… it’s so much more than just a summer holiday.
The Location :
Brymore school is set in an extensive site. There is a very large playing field which is perfect for sports, team challenges and soaking up the evening sun during wide games. The, ‘muga’ provides space for additional games and is great in wet weather. 2021 will see the unveiling of the refurbished, and much anticipated, swimming pool. Dotted around the site are areas that allow for smaller groups to play games or simply sit and chat. There are also ample buildings for other activities. Cosy dorms accommodate up to four members and each room is adjacent to bathrooms with showers. There are large common rooms that spill out onto a welcoming courtyard. In addition to this there is a large hall, modern dining room, numerous classrooms and an inspiring art room. The school is set in beautiful surroundings.
The Activities and The Programme:
There is something for everyone at Brymore 1 – sports on the field, swimming in the newly refurbished pool, games in the muga, being creative in the art room, music, and a range of activities on and off site. The week is centred around an engaging teaching programme, led by different leaders making every day unique. There is plenty of time for reflection and asking questions during dorm time where small groups offer a fantastic support network for the week… and years to come! Focus groups offer opportunity to talk about topical issues, share your views and understands different ideas. The atmosphere is relaxed and allows you to develop friendships, experience new things, make memories while learning about an unconditional love than transcends history!
Our leaders are a mix of ages, come from different parts of the country and all have different jobs. However, a common theme is that we all love Jesus and are keen to learn more about Him with you. Some of our leaders were members…they loved it so much they didn’t want to leave!
