The Holiday:
Due to current regulations Lakeview is running 2 half camps. CAMP A: 15-18 August 2021, CAMP B 18-21 August 2021. By applying, you are signing up to either to Camp A or Camp B. If you don't yet know which, please make sure you talk to Susan Arnold before signing up. The form won't ask which half. If you already signed up, you'll hear from us soon.
Lakeview: swimming, games in stunning grounds, great crafts. Get to know Jesus for the first time, or know Him better.
The Location:
Gatton Park with its three lakes, serpentine and 260 acres of parkland provides the ideal setting for our Venture. Just off the M25, the School has grass pitches, floodlit netball courts, astroturf pitch and sprints track. It also has a dance studio and performing arts centre.
The Accommodation:
We stay in a boarding school in dormitories between 2-4 people. There are separate blocks for boys and girls, each with plenty of good bathroom facilities close to the dormitories. The leaders stay in dormitories near the children's rooms. There is plenty of space to chill out other than in dormitories too.
The Programme and The Team:
We have two main teaching sessions each day - one is interactive with drama and music and one more traditional - but both aim to make Jesus known and ensure the gospel is clearly proclaimed. There are three activity times every day, ranging from using the archery facilities (some of our leaders are qualified archery instructors) to playing sports like football. We take advantage of our great site to play lots of fun and creative games. The leaders are a committed and hard working diverse group of leaders. Although we come from different locations and have a range of jobs (from vicars and youth leaders to teachers and lawyers and students) we're all committed to Jesus and to teaching the gospel.
