The leaders are a committed and hard working diverse group of leaders. Although we come from different locations and have a range of jobs (from vicars and youthleaders to teachers and lawyers and students) we're all committed to Jesus and to teaching the gospel.
Superb accommodation. Groups of 6 to 8 sleep in grand, comfortable rooms.
We have two main teaching sessions each day - one is interactive with drama and music and one more traditional - but both aim to make Jesus known and ensure the gospel is clearly proclaimed. There are three activity times every day, ranging from swimming in the on-site pool, and using the archery facilities (some of our leaders are qualified archery instructors) to playing sports like football. We take advantage of our great site to play lots of fun and creative games. We also go off site to an outdoor activity centre where we can climb, or do crate stacking, or canoeing or kayaking. We head to a local town to hunt for the missing leaders. And much more.
Woolie 4 is based at Elstree School, Woolhampton, just off the A4 between Reading and Newbury. The site is based around a large 17th Century Grade II listed building - which has many rooms for us to sleep in, and lounges and a good sized dining room and theatre for our meetings. The grounds span 150 acres, and the lawns and playing fields surrounding the house give us ample room for many games and activities.
