The Holiday:
The Knock @ Ripon Team warmly welcomes you to Ripon Grammar School. With our very own on-site swimming pool; sports halls and fields; and art and music facilities, we are going to encounter our friend Jesus in fresh and creative ways. Get ready to make memories to treasure forever. We can’t wait for you to join us!
The Location :
Ripon is situated in North Yorkshire. A hop, skip and a jump in any direction and you’re in the stunning Dales countryside. There are beautiful walks on our doorstep including the picturesque Studley Royal Park. Ripon Grammar School has everything we need: if the multiple 3G pitches are too wet, we can use the large indoor sports hall; there’s lots of common rooms for those who like table tennis and pool; and let’s not forget a swimming pool just for us to use! Our home for the week is cosy indoor bedrooms of 2 to 4 people. Please be aware that due to increasing our member capacity, girls aged 13 and 14 will be in their own bedroom complete with a little sink and wardrobe. To help feel at home, you will bring your own bedding, so choose a favourite duvet or a snuggly sleeping bag, a sheet and a pillow for a great night’s sleep in wonderful Ripon.
The Activities and The Programme:
Come and join us for an adventure filled week. There will be wide games, sports, crafts, an exciting trip to Lightwater Valley Theme Park, swimming, ‘Hunt the Leader’ and lots of opportunities to hang out with your new friends- to name just a few things! Intertwined in our jam-packed programme we will ‘Connect’ with God in our morning Bible sessions and see our faith ‘Ignite’ in our evening worship slot. Come join us on this incredible adventure Jesus invites you on.
The Team:
Our team is filled with every generation- from newborn babies to grandparents- and it feels like one big Camp Family! This family is very special as we are all united by the same God and passion- A passion for loving Jesus and a desire to spread the gospel to young people. The Overall Leader names you see on the website came to faith on camp and that drives everything we do. We have lots of experience in running a Venture too. In fact, some of us were children ourselves when we first got involved all those years ago…. now that’s a great advert, don’t you think?!
