The Location :
M+M takes place at the Frontier Centre, near Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, in the heart of England. Being only 90 minutes from London and an hour from Birmingham makes it is easily accessible. A purpose-built activity centre with great facilities and beautiful scenery; the site features a Sports Hall, a high ropes course and a lake where water-based activities take place. There is comfortable accommodation with ensuite shared rooms, good food and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.
The Activities and The Programme:
M+M offers you a fantastic week, packed full of fun activities. There are 3 age groups on site: Max (9-11 year olds), Madness (12-14) and Mayhem (15-18). Some things we do as one large holiday, but mostly the holidays are separate. Included in the cost of the holiday is one Frontier Centre activity and a day out at a mystery location! Meanwhile, the site is a brilliant setting for wide games, sports and of course, M+M’s famous ‘blue-black slide’!! Every day, we’ll explore the Christian faith in a main meeting with an interactive Bible talk, songs, games and testimonies. We will spend some time studying the Bible together and having discussions in dorm groups. There will be opportunities for the older campers to take part in seminars exploring how the Bible speaks into some of the big questions of our time. Everyone is welcome, whatever their beliefs or background. We finish the week off with a brilliant last-night party overlooking the magnificent Northamptonshire countryside.
M+M is run by volunteers who are committed Christians and who all share a passion for sharing their lives and the gospel of Jesus Christ with young people. Each leader is subject to an enhanced DBS check and has two references. Collectively, the team has a vast amount of experience in working with young people from all backgrounds and with differing needs. Leaders range from twenty-somethings to others with a few grey hairs! We also have a scheme for young leaders in training, called ‘10:45’ [Mark 10:45 – “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many”]. All leaders sign up to the UCCF doctrinal basis of faith and the CEEC declaration on human sexuality. We receive annual safeguarding and health & safety training. There are trained first-aiders with each age group.
